Supporting your Development
At NEYLA, we’re passionate about helping NHS leaders and managers grow, so together we can continue improving health services for patients and communities across the North East and Yorkshire. Through our programmes, masterclasses, and workshops, we provide opportunities to build skills, share knowledge, and explore the real impact of leadership and management approaches.
We know how challenging it can be to prioritise your own development in the midst of busy working days. That’s why we’re making it easier for you to find the opportunities that matter most. The new Leadership & Management Framework is nearly complete, and soon you’ll see career stage descriptors included on our Events pages. This means you’ll be able to quickly identify which workshops and sessions are most relevant to your current stage — helping you make the most of your time and focus on the development that will benefit you most.

Tuesday 07 October 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm
We know that leadership is not about us having all the answer it’s how we create the confidence, agility and empowerment to enable our teams to adapt and grow. Adaptive leaders go beyond traditional models and seek to build and maintain trust, create flexibility and innovate to the opportunities and challenges that emerge.
In this webinar, we’ll explore how NHS leaders can strengthen their adaptive mindset learning to spot the difference between:
- Technical problems, which call for expertise and established solutions, and
- Adaptive challenges, which require experimentation, collaboration, and new ways of thinking.
What We’ll Explore
- Understand the key traits that set adaptive leaders apart from traditional leaders.
- Learn to identify and respond effectively to technical problems versus adaptive challenges.
- Develop practical techniques to empower and support teams through uncertainty.
