Leadership & Management Framework CoP
Following the launch of the Leadership & Management Framework in July, we are keen to support organisations across the North East and Yorkshire region to explore, embed, and successfully implement the Framework.
While our established Community of Practice (CoP) sessions will continue, growing interest and demand have led us to introduce a face-to-face CoP event each quarter. These sessions will provide additional opportunities for collaboration, networking, and shared learning.
The CoP is open to anyone involved in supporting the implementation of the Framework within their organisation. It is designed for those leading, facilitating, or contributing to implementation activities, rather than individuals seeking to understand the Framework solely for their personal development or line management responsibilities.
The primary aim of the CoP is to foster networking, collaboration, and the sharing of learning and good practice. Each face-to-face event will be structured to maximise opportunities for discussion, connection, and peer support.
Our first face-to-face CoP will take place on 5 November, from 10:00am to 1:00pm (venue to be confirmed).
As part of the event, we are keen to showcase and celebrate work taking place across the region. If you have explored an aspect of implementation, developed an innovative approach, or have experiences and learning that could benefit others, we would love to hear from you.
Please contact Deb Whalen at [email protected] to discuss how your work could be featured as part of the session.
Rosalind Franklin Programme Coming to the North East and Yorkshire!
For the first time, the North East and Yorkshire Leadership Academy will be delivering regional cohorts of the prestigious Rosalind Franklin Programme, bringing this nationally recognised leadership development opportunity closer to home.
Designed for colleagues in mid to senior leadership roles, the nine-month programme supports leaders to develop the skills, confidence and capability to lead across organisations, systems and partnerships.
Regional cohorts will launch from Winter 2026, with significantly reduced costs for delegates from NELA Partnership organisations.
If you’re ready to take the next step in your leadership journey, now is the ideal time to discuss the programme with your line manager and register your interest.

Each CoP will have a theme to structure conversations and exploration of ideas such as appraisals, data and activity reporting, recruitment strategies etc.
