Did you know that April is Stress Awareness Month?

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) define stress as ‘the adverse reaction people have to excessive pressures or other types of demand placed on them’. NHS staff report higher levels of stress than other public sector organisations, but stress can come from any aspect of our lives, and impact us at any stage of our lives.

As part of Stress Awareness Month, NEYLA are offering two workshops in April to provide an opportunity to consider how to look after yourself by increasing awareness of personal stressors and exploring self-compassion, or as a manager to consider how stress and burnout may present in others, and the managers role in supporting their team.

If you are unable to join a session, you will find a range of resources and information via NHS Employers here which may be helpful.
