Mary Seacole Local Facilitator Training

We are delighted to announce that dates for the Mary Seacole Local Facilitator Training programme will be revealed soon.

The Mary Seacole Programme was designed to support first time leaders develop their knowledge and skills in leadership and management.

Each cohort runs over a six month period and is delivered via an online virtual campus and online discussion forums with three face to face workshops or six half day virtual workshops.

We have been delivering this programme in the North East and Yorkshire region for a number of years utilising a team of local facilitators.

We are now hoping to increase our pool of local facilitators.

The training will consist of four days of mobilisation training, with three sessions being delivered virtually and one session in person by an NHS Leadership Academy approved mobilizer trainer.

Once trained, Mary Seacole Local facilitators are required too:

  • Prepare for and deliver three in person workshops or six half day virtual workshops for each six month programme cohort.
  • Dedicate around one hour per week to initiate discussions and monitor the online discussion forums via the online virtual campus for each six month programme cohort.
