Executive Development Offer: Leading the Way
North East and Yorkshire Region have designed a number of programmes, offers and resources to support the development of senior leaders within the region.
Our aim is to help leaders:
• Lead high performing teams through change and challenge
• Discover new ways to approach and improve team productivity and collaboration
• Strengthen participants’ awareness of and alignment with the role of an executive/senior leader within the NHS
• Develop the behaviours and soft skills required at executive level
• Build participants’ confidence, health, and wellbeing in an executive role

Executive Development Training Programme
Leading The Way
A four half-day module training programme for Executives. This programme is delivered online virtually and is designed to develop directors/senior leaders and executives looking to develop further in their role as a leader.
This programme is aimed at aspiring and/or established executives
Module One the Role of An Executive
On Tuesday 26th September 2023 at 9.30am – 12.30pm
Will cover:
– Developing a growth mindset in yourself and your team
– Finding the balance between your specialist role and your
executive role
– The Executive Team objective and its place in everyday scenarios
Module Two Shared Responsibility and Collaboration
On Tuesday 10th October 2023 at 9.30am – 12.30pm
Will cover:
– Clarifying the concept of ‘shared responsibility’
– What ‘shared responsibility’ looks, sounds, and feels like day-to-day
– Collaboration and accountability
Module Three Communication
On Tuesday 24th October 2023 at 9.30am -12.30pm
Will cover:
– Managing expectations
– ‘Packaging’ news and information to suit different audiences
– Language of collaboration
Module Four Confidence and Wellbeing
On Tuesday 7th November 2023 at 9.30am -12.30pm
Will cover:
– See opportunities in a crisis
– Learn from mistakes
– Innovate wherever possible
– Keeping yourself healthy and energised
