DNA Rates
We have noticed a high rate of DNA (Did Not Attend) on our programmes lately which has a significant impact on our resources.
If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please inform us at [email protected] as soon as possible. By doing so, you allow us to offer your place to someone else, ensuring that the opportunity is not wasted and public funds are used efficiently.

NHS Coaching and Mentoring Hub
We’re excited to announce that coaches in training can now register with our NHS Coaching and Mentoring Hub before completing their certification.
Coaching and Mentoring Hub : NHS Leadership Academy
When registering, simply check the box indicating that you are currently in training. A green tick will then appear on your profile, showing your trainee status. This is a great opportunity to start engaging with potential coachees and the coaching community.
We look forward to supporting you as you develop your skills as a coach and make a positive impact on our NHS teams.
GMTS Action Learning Set
The next cohort of Action Learning Set Facilitators is now being recruited to support the September 2024 intake of the Graduate Management Training Scheme (GMTS). This is an exciting opportunity to support the personal and professional development of the GMTS participants, and to access training and skills development for yourself.
Over the course of the 2 year programme you will have the opportunity to develop
- a range of frameworks and strategies for working with action learning sets effectively
- increased confidence in managing challenging group dynamics
- increased self-awareness through experiential learning and feedback from colleagues and facilitators
- an on-going support network through supervision, learning sets, and buddy relationships
- supported a cohort of graduate management trainees to solve challenging workplace issues, give and receive feedback from others, and increased ability to coach peers
- increased capacity to give and receive feedback, coach others, and provide support and challenge to graduate trainees

Mary Seacole Local Facilitator Training
We are delighted to announce that dates for the Mary Seacole Local Facilitator Training programme will be revealed soon!
The Mary Seacole Programme was designed to support first time leaders develop their knowledge and skills in leadership and management. Each cohort runs over a six month period and is delivered via an online virtual campus and online discussion forums with three face to face workshops or six half day virtual workshops.
The training will consist of four days of mobilisation training, with three sessions being delivered virtually and one session in person by an NHS Leadership Academy approved mobilizer trainer.
Once trained, Mary Seacole Local facilitators are required too:
- Prepare for and deliver three in person workshops or six half day virtual workshops for each six month programme cohort.
- Dedicate around one hour per week to initiate discussions and monitor the online discussion forums via the online virtual campus for each six month programme cohort.

The Supervision Café offers accredited coaches an opportunity to engage in group supervision. In this setting, coaches can collectively address current challenges in their practice

Manager as Coach (MAC) is a leadership programme consisting of 3 linked workshops -This session will explore The lifecycle of teams, Teams and teaming, The impact of change & uncertainty and Finding “the best of what is” within the team
18 July 2024 – Manager as Coach: Everyday Coaching Conversations (1)
Manager as Coach (MAC) is a leadership programme consisting of 3 linked workshops – This session will explore – What are the building blocks of a coaching conversation?, when to have a coaching conversation and when not to have a coaching conversation
31 July 2024- Coaches Cafe
In our Coaching café, our aim is to create a virtual space where coaches could come to meet other coaches to be with, share learning, resources and inspire and support each other.
11 September 2024 – Manager as Coach: Giving & Receiving Feedback (2)
Manager as Coach (MAC) is a leadership programme consisting of 3 linked workshops – This session will explore the building blocks of a feedback conversation.
18 September 2024- Leading as an Informal Leader
This session is intended to support those who do not see themselves as holding a formal position of authority, or those seeking to step into a more formal leadership or management role.
25 September 2024 – Manager as Coach: Teams & Teaming in Turbulent Times (3)
Manager as Coach (MAC) is a leadership programme consisting of 3 linked workshops – This session will explore The lifecycle of teams, Teams and teaming, The impact of change & uncertainty and Finding “the best of what is” within the team
