SUMMARY:Management & Leadership Framework Drop-In Session 2
DESCRIPTION:What is the Framework? \nThe Management and Leadership Framework responds to reviews of leadership in health and care\, including the 2022 Messenger Review\, 2019 Kark Review\, and supports the implementation of the 10 Year Health Plan for England. \nDelivery of the 10 Year Plan objectives\, and assuring safe and effective health and care services\, requires NHS managers and leaders who are confident\, capable\, and focused on the evolving needs of staff\, patients\, and communities. The framework will offer a consistent approach to current and future NHS managers and leaders. It will apply to all managers and leaders\, across all roles and organisation types. \nThe Framework currently consists of: \n\nThe management & leadership code: the principles and behaviours required of all managers and leaders across the health and care system\nThe standards:  the essential competencies needed for management and leadership – at every level\, and in every role type.\n\n  \nWhat will the drop in offer? \nSince September 2025 many organisations have joined weekly Socialisation Sessions hosted by the NHSE team leading this crucial work. We understand that not all organisations have been able to attend these\, and some may have opted to “watch and wait” as the work progressed. These Drop-In Sessions will offer those supporting the strategic roll out of this work within their own organisations\, providing space to explore the framework\, ask questions\, and hear form others about their approaches and actions so far. \nThe Drop-in will not offer guidance to individuals wanting to explore the framework for their own use. Support for individuals will come from your employing organisation as the framework and supporting tools are launched. \nAudience \nThese sessions are open to staff from organisations who have been part of Socialisation Phase\, and those who are just beginning to explore next steps in their organisation : \n\nSupporting the framework implementation within your organisation\nSupporting leadership development within your organisation\nSupporting delivery of appraisal processes within your organisation\n\n  \nThose who attend drop-in sessions will be given access to the framework micro-site to support their strategic reflections and planning for implementation \n

SUMMARY:Coaches Café: Metaphors in Coaching : Celebrating the music and dancing in your coaching
DESCRIPTION:Metaphors in coaching : Celebrating the music and dancing in your coaching. This café will explore the words\, the rhythm\, the music and the dance in your coaching. \nIn our Coaching café\, our aim is to create a virtual space where coaches could come to meet other coaches to be with\, share learning\, resources and inspire and support each other. \nA topic that is influencing our work is the increasing role of AI in our world. How could this impact on our roles as Coaches ? \nIn his forward in “The Human Behind the Coach “ this is an issue that David Clutterbuck describes as \n“ one of the things that distinguishes a human coach from an artificially intelligent (AI) robot is our humanity” \nFor the rest of 2025 we are exploring the themes of our humanity as coaches. \nIn their book “ The Human Behind the Coach “ ( 2023 )  Claire Pedrick & Lucia Baldelli define and illustrate “How great coaches transform themselves first”. \nEach Café will be a stand-alone session\, however\, will also be part of the theme of what contributes to our humanity ? We will be revisiting our core coaching skills and how they transform our coaching. \n

SUMMARY:Leading together: Collaborating Through Distributed Leadership: A Systems Approach (Masterclass 5)
DESCRIPTION:Session Outline \nDistributed leadership means that leadership responsibilities and decision-making are shared across multiple individuals\, teams\, or organisations\, rather than being concentrated at the top of a hierarchy. In the context of health and care\, it means that different stakeholders— including clinical leaders\, managers\, and community organisations—contribute to leading the design\, implementation\, and oversight of major programmes. This approach aligns with the need for collaboration across sectors\, especially within Integrated Care Systems (ICS). \nTo thrive in today’s complex environments\, leaders must be adaptive\, responsive\, and open to the diverse perspectives and contributions of others. In this module\, we will explore how to foster motivation and empowerment\, implement coaching strategies\, and create a culture of feedback that supports the principles of distributed leadership. Participants will learn practical ways to embed this leadership model into their practice\, ensuring that decision-making and accountability are shared for more effective and sustainable outcomes.
