SUMMARY:Manager as Coach: Giving & Receiving Feedback
DESCRIPTION:Manager as Coach (MAC) is a leadership programme consisting of 3 linked workshops. These can be accessed as a complete series\, or in isolation\, depending on your own learning needs. The aim of MAC is to support development of a coaching approach when working with individuals\, or with the whole team. The programme is aimed at managers at all levels and roles\, and those aspiring to their first management role. \nJoin us to gain insight and skills into how you can give and receive feedback to support appraisal\, talent enablement conversations etc. \nAll managers need to offer feedback to staff; many managers find this anxiety provoking. All staff will be given feedback; many will anticipate that this will be a negative experience. If you recognise this as a challenge in your role\, join us to explore approaches that will help you to have effective feedback conversations which are engaging and outcomes focused \nThis session will explore the building blocks of a feedback conversation \n• Structuring feedback to others\n• Receiving feedback effectively \nNB: This workshop is focused on the leadership skill set and is not positioned as coach training\, or as coaching CPD. However\, practicing coaches are welcome to attend.

SUMMARY:Coaching CPD: Vertical Development for Leadership Coaches- An Introduction
DESCRIPTION:This session is for: Accredited coaches who coach leaders- and are members of our Coaching Hub \nWhen supporting a leader’s development\, there are two interconnected aspects of growth we might focus on: \nHorizontal Development – is lateral growth within a stage. We add more information\, knowledge\, and models to what we already know. Our current way of viewing things becomes more detailed\, refined\, and broad. We become increasingly skilled and knowledgeable from the stage we are at. \nVertical Development – is upward growth to a new stage. We expand our capacity to think\, feel\, and act in more complex and adaptive ways. We grow beyond our old meaning-making system and transform the way we see the world \nAs coaches supporting leaders with their development\, we have a role to play in developmental coaching that supports coachee’s to evolve How they think not just What they think \nThis interactive workshop for leadership coaches will \n\n      Introduce the concept of vertical development\n       Explore the role of the coach in supporting the vertical development of leaders\n       Offer coaches insight into their own developmental worldview and its potential impact on the coaching dynamic\n\n
