SUMMARY:Nursing & Midwifery Career Development Workshop
DESCRIPTION:These workshops are offered to support Band 5/6 nurses and midwives working across the region. \nThere are consistent differences in outcomes at interview\, and progression of nurses and midwives\, and a key outcome of the NHS Long Term Workforce Plan is to support equitable progression across all roles and organisations. All attendees will be asked to complete a pre and post workshop questionnaire to help us to gauge impact\, and support future development. \nThis workshop will focus on exploring your personal career journey\, preparing for interview and feeling able to bring your “best self”. Join us for an opportunity to connect with peers from across the region\, and to explore:\n▪ Insights into the interview process\n▪ Reflections and actions to improve your interview experience.\n▪ Seeing your personal strengths\n▪ How to interview with confidence\, and give great answers using the STARR model.\n▪ Practical tips – avoiding ‘weasel words’\, shaking off imposter syndrome and pragmatic actions before\, during and after an interview. \nFollowing the workshop all attendees will receive\n▪ Digital workbook of key concepts\, helpful questions and reflective prompts. \nPlease be aware that joining instructions for this event will be sent out seven days before the scheduled day. \nIf you register with the waiting list\, please hold this date in your diary as last minute cancellations may happen. We’ll do our best to give as much notice as we can should a place become available.

This module explores the key leadership qualities necessary for effectively guiding inclusive systems through transition. ​ \nWe will discuss how to visualise and communicate systemwide goals and purposes\, recognising the challenges involved. By reflecting on these elements\, participants will gain valuable insights into leading with resilience and inclusivity amidst evolving priorities and challenges. DESCRIPTION:Organisational culture can be defined as the values\, beliefs\, attitudes\, systems\, and rules that boundary and influence behaviours and responses within an organization. The culture reflects how staff\, customers and stakeholders experience an organisation and the services offered.  \nThe NHS People Promise establishes the vision of how the NHS can feel for all of its staff\, and making this a reality requires equal focus on “how are we doing doing” and “what are we doing”.   \n“We want our culture to be positive\, compassionate\, and inclusive – and we all have our part to play” NHS People Promise  \nBy 2030\, over 80% of the UK workforce will be in the age categories termed Millennial or Gen Z. Join us to consider your leadership and management responses can positively impact your own work area by exploring \n\nWhy awareness of the multi-generational workforce is important\nWhat are the challenges we need to consider in relation to this.\nExplore and understand the approach that will support the right kind of leadership in 2030 and beyond.
