DESCRIPTION:Managers Toolbox: The Employee Lifecycle \n‘Bringing out the Best in your team members at all stages of their career journey’ \nThe Managers Toolbox offers a series of sessions with the aim of strengthening and developing skills and awareness around managing people\, processes and problem solving.These workshops are open to staff holding a line management role\, which has opportunities for cross boundary working.\nThe Employee Lifecycle will explore what is meant by the employee lifecycle\, consider the differeces in stages and the correlation between engagement\, wellbeing and performance. This session is for you if you are a current line manager in any role seeking to :- \n• Understand the 7 stages of the employee lifecycle\n• Appreciate the importance and benefits of actively managing every stage of the lifecycle\n• Learn some key strategies for successfully managing each stage of the lifecycle \nPlease be aware that joining instructions for this event will be sent out seven days before the scheduled day. \nIf you register with the waiting list\, please hold this date in your diary as last minute cancellations may happen. SUMMARY:Manager as Coach: Giving & Receiving Feedback
DESCRIPTION:Manager as Coach (MAC) is a leadership programme consisting of 3 linked workshops. These can be accessed as a complete series\, or in isolation\, depending on your own learning needs. The aim of MAC is to support development of a coaching approach when working with individuals\, or with the whole team. The programme is aimed at managers at all levels and roles\, and those aspiring to their first management role. \nJoin us to gain insight and skills into how you can give and receive feedback to support appraisal\, talent enablement conversations etc. \nAll managers need to offer feedback to staff; many managers find this anxiety provoking. All staff will be given feedback; many will anticipate that this will be a negative experience. If you recognise this as a challenge in your role\, join us to explore approaches that will help you to have effective feedback conversations which are engaging and outcomes focused \nThis session will explore the building blocks of a feedback conversation \n• Structuring feedback to others\n• Receiving feedback effectively \nNB: This workshop is focused on the leadership skill set and is not positioned as coach training\, or as coaching CPD. At a simple level it is about making sure tasks are done by the right people\, however an enhanced understanding of the skills involved\, and potential outcomes allows managers to release resources (own and others) and increase motivation and initiative within a team or organisation. \nBy attending this workshop participants will be able to:\n1.Be more able to use delegation as a tool to support the management of their own time\n& focus\n2. Feel confident to improve their focus and in their ability to managers to manage time\neffectively\n3. Can ensure that delegated tasks can be completed safely and reliably\n4.
