DESCRIPTION:Managers Toolbox: No More Talking Shops \n‘Chairing really effective meetings’ \nThe Managers Toolbox offers a series of sessions with the aim of strengthening and developing skills and awareness around managing people\, processes and problem solving.These workshops are open to staff holding a line management role\, which has opportunities for cross boundary working.\nNo More Talking Shops will explore the structure of effective meetings\, and the role of the Chair in setting objectives\, managing participation and creating an outcome focussed approach. The session will also offer an opportunity to consider challenging dynamics\, and techniques to help understanding and responses to conflict. This session is for you if you are a current line manager in any role seeking to :- \n• discover the skills\, techniques and strategies to plan\, lead and participate effectively in meetings both in person and virtual\n✓ Learn how to keep meetings under control and techniques to achieve balanced participation\, including management of challenging people and situations\n✓ Cover techniques on how to focus on ensuring actions from your meetings and how to follow up on them effectively. \nPlease be aware that joining instructions for this event will be sent out seven days before the scheduled day. \nIf you register with the waiting list\, please hold this date in your diary as last minute cancellations may happen. These workshops are open to staff holding a line management role\, which has opportunities for cross boundary working. \nFew people ever they have more than enough hours in the day; exploring how we can better apply self-management by considering time management\, and seeing the\npriorities. This requires some self-reflection; join us for an engaging workshop which will include:\n• Calendar/diary management\, time blocking\, creating boundaries\n• The ‘Eisenhower Matrix’ for prioritisation\n• How to develop and maintain focus\n• Hints and tips on maintaining self-management\, including cycles of planning and\nreview\n• Email management \nBy attending this workshop participants will be able to:\n1. Become more aware of the tools and approaches available for self-management\n2. Have developed their own approach to self-management\n3.
