SUMMARY:Manager as Coach: Giving & Receiving Feedback
DESCRIPTION:Manager as Coach (MAC) is a leadership programme consisting of 3 linked workshops. These can be accessed as a complete series\, or in isolation\, depending on your own learning needs. The aim of MAC is to support development of a coaching approach when working with individuals\, or with the whole team. The programme is aimed at managers at all levels and roles\, and those aspiring to their first management role. \nJoin us to gain insight and skills into how you can give and receive feedback to support appraisal\, talent enablement conversations etc. \nAll managers need to offer feedback to staff; many managers find this anxiety provoking. All staff will be given feedback; many will anticipate that this will be a negative experience. If you recognise this as a challenge in your role\, join us to explore approaches that will help you to have effective feedback conversations which are engaging and outcomes focused \nThis session will explore the building blocks of a feedback conversation \n\nStructuring feedback to others\nReceiving feedback effectively\n\nNB: This workshop is focused on the leadership skill set and is not positioned as coach training\, or as coaching CPD. DESCRIPTION:During Disability History Month\, we are focusing on Dyslexia Within The Workplace. \nIt’s estimated up to 1 in every 10 people in the UK has some degree of dyslexia. \nThe session will support leaders and managers to recognize the strengths and abilities of colleagues with dyslexia. It is facilitated by Pauline Hogarth\, chair of the Staff Disability Network at NEAS. \nThe session will: \n\nSupport colleagues to understand dyslexia\nExplore the implementation of reasonable adjustments within the workplace\nImprove self-esteem and confidence within the workplace\n\n  \nThe session objectives are to: \n\nProvide an introduction to understanding of the colleagues’ specific difficulties and how they may affect work performance\, to enable managers to adopt inclusive methods and strategies to help dyslexic colleagues to be successfully integrated into the workplace environment.\nProvide a high level framework to create meaningful improvement activities in staff networks.\nEmpowering leaders and colleagues to understand dyslexia\, both its strengths and challenges.\nIntroduction to essential knowledge in how to spot and support dyslexia and an understanding of when and where to seek further help.\nSupport the initial process of creating a dyslexia-inclusive workplace to empower the creation of a dyslexic working environment.\n\nThis event is now full.
