SUMMARY:The Power of Compassion for Inclusion 2: Compassionate people
DESCRIPTION:These three virtual interactive workshops are designed to offer those attending an opportunity to understand and apply simple compassion based practices that can contribute to compassionate and inclusive mindsets\, behaviours and cultures. The workshops can be accessed as a series enabling learning to build across each session\, but can be accessed as stand-alone workshops. Each workshop must be booked individually as a result. \nWorkshop 1. Compassionate Self – self-care and resilience \nDuring this workshop we explore the importance of self-care for inclusion and positionality (i.e.\, recipient\, observer\, source or architect)\, including how to stay present with discomfort (e.g. emotional regulate) and build resilience in the face of discrimination and microaggressions. \n  \nWorkshop 2. Compassionate People – collective wellbeing and allyship \nDuring this workshop we explore the roots of direct\, indirect and systemic racism and other forms of discrimination and how to relate this to personal context; and ways to be an active ally in support of others \n  \nWorkshop 3. All staff will be given feedback; many will anticipate that this will be a negative experience. If you recognise this as a challenge in your role\, join us to explore approaches that will help you to have effective feedback conversations which are engaging and outcomes focused \nThis session will explore the building blocks of a feedback conversation \n• Structuring feedback to others \n• Receiving feedback effectively \nNB: This workshop is focused on the leadership skill set and is not positioned as coach training\, or as coaching CPD.
