SUMMARY:Leading Through Pressure Without Losing Your Team
DESCRIPTION:Senior leadership in the public sector right now means navigating constant complexity and uncertainty\, making difficult decisions and holding responsibility for people and performance at the same time. \nAs pressure builds\, the space to think properly often disappears. Conversations and decisions become more reactive and it gets increasingly difficult to lead well. \nThis 60-minute session offers a practical and reflective approach to leading through pressure without losing connection with your team. \nThrough the session you will explore a simple way of approaching conversations that helps you to: \n– support others to look at the challenges they are facing from a different angle\n– help people reconnect with their motivation and the purpose behind their work\n– create the conditions for clearer thinking in the middle of pressure and complexity\n– lead conversations that strengthen trust\, connection and forward movement \nThe session will include a few simple ideas for shaping conversations\, space to think about how they apply to your situation and some time for paired discussion. \nYou will leave with a way of holding conversations that you can use straight away\, along with some practical actions to take to relieve pressure and increase connection with those you lead. \nBio \nChris Hewitt is a leadership coach and facilitator working with senior leaders and teams across the public sector. \nHe works with leaders who are already capable and committed\, helping them slow down\, think clearly and work through the real challenges they’re facing together with a focus on the conversations\, relationships and thinking that shape how teams perform under pressure.
