The Power of Compassion for Inclusion 2: Compassionate people
These three virtual interactive workshops are designed to offer those attending an opportunity to understand and apply simple compassion based practices that can contribute to compassionate and inclusive mindsets, behaviours and cultures. The workshops can be accessed as a series enabling learning to build across each session, but can be accessed as stand-alone workshops. Each workshop must be booked individually as a result.
Workshop 1. Compassionate Self – self-care and resilience
During this workshop we explore the importance of self-care for inclusion and positionality (i.e., recipient, observer, source or architect), including how to stay present with discomfort (e.g. emotional regulate) and build resilience in the face of discrimination and microaggressions.
Workshop 2. Compassionate People – collective wellbeing and allyship
During this workshop we explore the roots of direct, indirect and systemic racism and other forms of discrimination and how to relate this to personal context; and ways to be an active ally in support of others
Workshop 3. Compassionate Cultures – action for change
During this workshop we explore how microaggressions can manifest and experientially, and consider the options for action; and how can all contribute to building an inclusive culture
