The Managers Toolbox offers a series of sessions with the aim of strengthening and developing skills and awareness around managing people, processes and problem solving. These workshops are open to staff holding a line management role, which has opportunities for cross boundary working.
No More Talking Shops will explore the structure of effective meetings, and the role of the Chair in setting objectives, managing participation and creating an outcome focussed approach. The session will also offer an opportunity to consider challenging dynamics, and techniques to help understanding and responses to conflict. This session is for you if you are a current line manager in any role seeking to :-• discover the skills, techniques and strategies to plan, lead and participate effectively in meetings both in person and virtual
✓ Learn how to keep meetings under control and techniques to achieve balanced participation, including management of challenging people and situations
✓ Cover techniques on how to focus on ensuring actions from your meetings and how to follow up on them effectively.
